    It\u2019s not enough for a product to be made of natural or bio-based materials: compostability must be certified<\/strong> by accredited authority. The most recognized certifications in Europe are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    UNI EN 13432<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    It\u2019s the european standard that defines the requirements of a compostable packaging. It\u2019s the main reference for the sector and ensures that the material is suitable for industrial composting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    OK Compost INDUSTRIAL<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    released by T\u00dcV Austria, it certifies that the material degrades in industrial composting plants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    OK Compost HOME<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    It certifies that the product is compostable even at room temperature<\/strong>, therefore also in household composters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Food contact certifications (MOCA)<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    Mandatory for all packaging intended for food, they ensure safety and compliance with HACCP regulations and european legislation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    What materials are used in compostable packaging<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n
